USING OWN BRAND NAPPIES DOES SAVE A LOT AND WIPES.TRY SAINSBURY NAPPIES AT 1.49 FOR 20.I NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH LEAKING.ALSO TRY AND SHOP ONLINE.IT HELPS TO KEEP A RECORD OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING AND SAVES YOU GETTING TEMPTED.IF YOU DO THIS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A TESCO CLUBCARD FOR TESCO OR A NECTOR CARD FOR SAINSBURYS AS THIS WILL GAIN YOU EXTRA TREATS AND EVEN DAYS OUT.ALSO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GETTING ALL BENIFITS THAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TOO.:o

Dazzanator, you need to do a spending diary. I think someone mentioned it earlier. Every time you spend something, write it down in a little notepad. Do this for all of June, or maybe just a week, and then review it and see exactly where all the pennies are going.

I did say that I did not want to appear rude. And I don't think that to point out that bills don't just jump out you as being harsh. Also that they are being lax as they don't know where all their money is going. I mean I could said they where lazy with their money. But that is not the right word. Maybe lax was not quite the right word either. Maybe laid back would be a better word.

I stand by what I say. If you wish to report it to abuse then please go ahead.

I am not a rude person in real life. Never have been never will. And I don't use the internet to hide behind a name to be rude. If you look I have posted many messages and had many thanks.

I know you are not in debt and never said that your bills where not paid. But the way you say is that bills that jump out of you.

But they don't. You know they have to paid. And there is nothing wrong with paying a TV licence yearly as you get no discount. But you know they will arrive once a year and at the same time every year the same with MOT and car tax and christmas. And people go I don't have the money to pay them or I will be short because I had to pay it. And you have to ask the question why?

You know they will arrive and you put money away each month for them. I am not perfect by any means and like you have no debt. It is about planning ahead or the horrible boring word that a lot of people don't like is budgetting. So putting away £12 a month for the TV means that come the end of year you have enough. And £5 a month for school trips etc. Makes it easier for cash flow. And means the left over money is not just swallowed up. An ING account allows you set up different pots so you can have one for TV licence etc.

But if you don't know where you money is going and you are not tracking it via spreadsheets and spending diaries what else do you call. Not 100% organised does that sounds better;)

Well done on wanting a to a gripe on it now rather than later. And there is nothing wrong with that. And if you shave off some money elsewhere like on your food bill then that will allow you to put more away in savings and for other things that you want to do. Like days out.

Also something you don't mention on your SOA. What about pensions do you have one. Is it just a company one or a private one.

Try using this. It'll give you all the headings for the key expenditure items and breaks down the annual amounts (like TV licence, Car servicing etc) into monthly chunks so you can see what you need to be budgeting for. I found it a real help.

Well done on having no debt-eek!! Lucky lucky you & well done.
as has been mentioned you could cut down on the food a bit & try keeping a spending diary for a wee while to see where it all goes.
