Party Tonight - Makeup Help Asap Please? :)

Heya lovelies.
I'm going to a Halloween costume party tonight. I'm going as an angel and the colour of my eye makeup is going to be white and glittery.
I always struggle with putting eyeshadow on as it tends to smudge onto the top of my eye, near the eyebrow arch. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this happening?
Also, does anyone have an mascara tips? I use Rimmel Sexy Curves but I've found that sometimes it goes clumpy when I apply it and makes my eyelashes look weird instead of full. I also have a couple of other mascaras too (NYC volume, 2True volume).
One last thing, I'm also going to be curling my hair using curling tongs. Does anyone have any tips for this too? My hair is mid length, with light layering at the back and quite fine but I also have a lot of hair. What is the best way to get the style to hold? Hairspray usually makes my hair go stiff but I read somewhere to spray the hairspray infront of you and then walk into it? Would that keep it fixed but with minimal stiffness?
As you can tell, I rarely dress up or apply makeup so any advice would be helpful.:o
Thank you.

use a base first, smudge it from your eyelashes, all the way up to your eyebrow arch (for what you're doing tonight, a opalescent white would be ideal) then put whatever one you want (glitter for tonight I'd assume) on up to your crease. The base should stop your skin oils from stealing all the stuff from your lid. works for me anyway!

don't pump the brush in the container, just pull it out, then, using the tip, run it along your lower lashes. Then use the brush to separate them, without dipping it back in the tube.
to do your upper lashes, put some more mascara on the brush, then starting in the middle, put the brush right at your lash line, horizontally, and wiggle the brush up your lashes IYSWIM. do that until all of your lashes are covered then use the dryer brush to separate them out so they're nicely fanned.
another tip is, don't do a second coat until the first has completely dried - if you put it on when the first coat is still tacky, you'll guarantee clumps!

Try some mousse before you tong each section, just a little on a brush, then brush it through. Sometimes works for me, sometimes doesn't - I've got stroppy hair! other than that, not really any tips other than don't tong right at from the top - you'll end up looking more like a poodle than an angel!

should do, depends on how unruly your hair likes to be - I know mine would fall out but I've got a lot of hair which is quite heavy.

Thank you.
