Agree property looks great. Scenery in this area is great. It really depends on when you want to go. Trips to Scotland have a better chance of decent weather in May or September. If you are thinking about going just now the East Coast seems to be getting better weather. If you don't mind the rain go for it any time but get yourself a decent jacket like Regatta. We booked a cottage through the Visit Scotland website and didn't want to come home as it was better than our own house. Check all properties on Trip Adviser and book through reputable agency.0

Kilmartin is a really beautiful atmospheric place. Staying there you are withing driving distance of Tarbert, Inverary and Oban.
May is my favourite month on the West Coast so would definitely recommend then.0 -

I come from that area and it really is beautiful and if you are interested in historic sites there are loads round about. As already mentioned a good base for other interesting places in the area within fairly short drives.
Also lots of good walking opportunities.
I also would suggest May & September as best times to visit, many of the "attractions" like Inveraray Castle only open in the summer.0 -
