    I will angel!!

M&Ds view is 'you get it now or when we're dead, and it'smore use to you when you're young'.. not feeling too bad as they have just booked their 3rd holiday of the year so not taking too much advantage... however if I had my time again, there'd be no debt, and lots of savings...

Will posyt when loan cheque sent!

If you pay off the car loan and all your debts sooner, the sooner you will not have these kind of dilemmas about whether to save money or not. It is almost (not quite) as much fun to watch your debts going down as it is seeing your savings mounting up.

Emmzi, I so agree with M&D's view. I always said no when M&D offered - was proving myself as a single parent etc, then one day said yes, something small, but they got a hell of a lot of pleasure from helping their little girl... .... so i decided to accept offers (but not solicit!!!). Dad died 4 years ago, bless my poor old mum, she prob won't last long, wish I'd just said yes and let them see me have a bit of fun occasionally.

I'd say pay off the car, think about it.... what if you didnt have any income coming in the car loan would be one less thing to worry about.

Ive had a really weird similar thing happen today.

I have been so "debt , debt, debt" we have managed to put away 150 in a savings account and there will be another 50 ( from my ebay sales) in by the end of the week. We are saving 500 for a winter holiday, in NOvember.

today, my dad gave me £50 & my grandad £20. My first thought was save it. But I know we shouldnt, but I cant face paying my debt off any faster. think im a bit pi55ed off with the process maybe...

that weekend away was a bit tooooo relaxing....

Family are fab. Although the question in my head is, igf I was desperate, they'd be glad to have me live with them.. could I take it the other way round..????

Sure i would in the end...

Lynz... how about keeping the £70 for something for the new house???

Basically what we are doing is all our ebay, quidco etc money, and our gifts, is in a savings account, we are buying premium bonds with the 1st hundred, just waiting to confirm. So basically, we are going to put £500 in P bonds before nov ( hopefully) then anything we win on them goes to debt. After 500 in bonds no more saving, all our proceeds from elsewhere will be saving up for the moving costs. if we play it right our holiday will be after we have moved. If we have to use that money for moving, we will do. Not sure yet, but want to have at least 500 aside for either. But we have lodgers money too, feels like weve got so muhc going on I dont know where to put what, and so save it.

I think its my latent consumption urge coming back...
