Littlewoods illogic--help please.

My experience of littlewoods is....
When I tried to come to an arrangement with them regarding the lowering of my monthly payments, they wanted to stick a lump sum of over 40% in interest onto the amount I owed and the monthly payment they requested worked out at about -a massively helpful- 6 quid less than my regular payment at the time.
They were extremely unreasonable and no amount of letters/I&E information etc would get them to agree to an acceptable level of repayment. Within a few days of my first ever missed payment with them (which was after BR) they sent me a default notice along with a nice threatening letter, I've had a few more threats since and quite a few phonecalls despite giving them the details of my BR.
When I was giving them the details of my BR during one of their ever pleasant phone calls, I offered to send them a copy of my BR form, they told me that was not good enough and gave me a list of requirements that I was to pass on to my OR which he HAD to respond to before they would accept it, until then apparently I was still liable for the debt :rotfl:
Funnily enough I seemed to lose the list straight after not writing it down. Strange that, can't think where I didn't put it0 -
Littlewoods (NDR) are the pain in my behind as well.
I am in debt but trying to clear things and trying to make payments rather then the BR route (Which might still happen)
ALL of my other debts have accepted payments and are working with me to help me clear the outstanding
However I offered Littlewoods £55 per month on a3k amount (that is all I have right now) I sent them in a break down of my payments and wages but they refused that saying it had to be done by either the CAB or a debt manager. As I work full time and there is not a local CAB I asked if they would accept the amount if I got it written up by someone proper, Thinking I could take a half day and travel to the next town if they would agree the amount.
Laura (we don't give out second names) at Littlewoods(NDR) advised me that they would not accept any offer under £300.00 per month anyway (now at this point where I was paying £175.00per month before and clearing the min payments). I told her that was impossible as that is half my mortage and that they would be better taking me to court and we could sort it out there and then for good.
OH no they don't take people to court they pass them on to a 3rd party collector who then deals with it.
So I am paying my £55 as I offered and will wait and see. At the moment there is nothing I can do and I know it is less then the £175.00 per month I started with but life has changed and I am doing the best I can with what I have.
Seems they are the worst of the lot and can't understand why I would want to change all my other payments to give them more when they were the ones who could have had more had they agreed right at the start. I'll explain that slightly better:
When I knew I was getting into trouble I called or wrote to everyone I owe money to and asked them to help me with smaller payments and stopping charges and interest. Everyone got back to me and payments were arranged around the outstanding and what I had left in order of what responded.
Littlewoods never did so they got the end of the stick. I know that might not be right but why should I mess around people who have helped me to give them more.
I would rather they did take me to court so I could plead my case to a judge and get it dealt with properly..No chance it seems unless I take them to court and I haven't got the money for that.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.
