I wanna Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Has anyone seen any good deals or packages on the Panasonic TZ7 please. I am going to treat myself to a new camera after using a Fuji Finepix 4700 for years. I saw the TZ7 in Jessops at £299 and just wondered if there are any other places abit cheaper.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 Black Compact Digital Camera - £230 Pixmania

Try PIXBIRTHDAY4 and not forgetting Quidco.

Do bear in mind that Pixmania can be problematic. Some people have good service from them were as others don’t.

Just had a look at this on HUKD where they are saying this could be sub £200 by Christmas.
  • Might be advisable to use a credit card when purchasing this just incase anything goes wrong.

I bought this for about £235 from Jessops a few weeks ago. It was £249 on their website plus I used a 10% online discount code, and collected it instore to save on shipping costs. I went though quidco, which has validated at just over £8, so £227.

Good camera, although not as many settings as I was expecting. You will also need to factor in getting a second battery (just under £40 from Amazon). I bought a 16gb class 6 memory card from Amazon too, plus a Lowepro Altus 30 case which fits nicely with just enough space for the spare battery.

Lugh-Chronain, thank you for all that advice. I have taken particular note regarding Pixmania. I'm going to take a another look at Jessops (& Quidco). Pixmania did seem the cheapest at the moment.
I didn't want to wait until nearer to Christsmas (HUKD) as I am going on hols mid November, but, if I have to, I will wait. My old Fuji gives lovely pics but the zoom is so small. Will definately use my credit card (well OHs card lol)

skytcom, I have read so many reviews and reports now, my head is spinning lol. One thing I have learnt is that the TZ7 is the best camera for me as I want a small size to pop into pocket. Thank you for your help too.

Quidco was offering 10% cashback for Jessops during the week and a code for 5% instant discount.

I have the TZ5 and Its a great camera, friends just brought the TZ7 from Amazon with a spare Panasonic battery. Afraid Im not sure what she paid but know she is very impressed and did a lot of reasearch before buying. She will be using it for gigs as most venues allow small cameras in and Its a study one with a great optical zoom. There are several people on the Muse forum who have brought this camera with gigs in mind and for general use and really rate the camera.

Ive been very inpressed with my TZ5:D

Hi Alison, I too have been reading reviews etc and am very impressed. I have looked at other cameras but they don't measure up to the TZ7 and I have convinced myself that this is the one I want lol.
As was mentioned in earlier post about prices maybe coming down on the run up to Christmas, I may wait, if I can.

I'm about to purchase a Nikon camera from Jessops with 10% Quidco cashback. Unfortunately the 5% discount doesn't apply to Digital SLRs. Sounds like compacts are ok though?
