Making money by searching and clicking!

Over the years I have spent literally tens of thousands of hours on the internet, both at work and at home. In fact I spent nearly 7 years working in the Head Office of an Internet Service Provider, so I guess I must know a little about getting around the internet. This was until I decided to leave a couple of years ago and now I work full time Self Employed from home.

It can be a little lonely at times, whilst all the family are at School or my wife is at work, but I enjoy it - and life isn't a dress rehearsal. One important thing being Self Employed is finding the money each week to pay the bills, days out, and luxuries in life. With 3 children this isn't cheap, so it often means me working long hours - often way into the early hours. To be honest I'm a bit of an insomniac anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much. In any case I can listen to my music, have breaks when I wish, and chat ton forums to some great people. I'm no longer in the rat race!

I have tried hundreds of ways trying to make money. Some work. Some don't. Many of the ideas have come from sites such as MSE and Afilliate Forums. Others I have found out myself by searching the net. The obvious ones include Ebay, Amazon, Survey Sites, Cashback Sites, Matched Betting, Afilliates, Scratchcards as well as designing websites with advertisements.

For the purpose of this thread I will concentrate on Cashback Sites and how they can make you money by visiting sites and clicking on advertisements. I will also cover paid for search and also survey sites, but this will be in a separate thread.

Cashback Sites

Well I guess there can't be many who haven't heard of Cashback Sites, but for the benefit of those who haven't. I'll explain. These sites have been set up to incorporate thousands of companies in the UK, who offer cashback for either signing up to their website, buying a product, or simply viewing an advert or searching for a product. The sums on offer can vary from 1p upto a couple of hundred pounds. This is free cash. Each cashback site differs on offers so it is worth checking a few. Many of these cashback sites offer daily clicks, which pay you for visiting a site and searching their database of companies. Many also offer you sign up bonuses and there are hundreds of these sites out there. So how do you earn cash? Well firstly you need to sign up to these cashback sites. It might be worthwhile you setting up a separate email address and also a spreadsheet, and then add up your money each day. THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. It isn't difficult to earn a few hundred pounds a month from it but it can take many many hours work. I have made a lot of the money in the recent past, however at the moment I am quite busy using my Business Degree (with Honours) looking at other opportunities on the net.

So for those of you who are ready I will provide a list, that has taken me many hours in the making. Some sites you will be familiar with, others you won't. If you know of any more perhaps you would be kind enough to mail me. I will then update the list.

Stebiz : That is certainly a comprehensive list indeed !

I'm on Quidco, Fat and Thin Cheese already, but what I'd be looking for is say 3 or 4 reliable ones from that list , that I can just make a little extra money by daily clicks . As I'm trying to make/save money rather than spend it !

I think I've got the idea of what to do, but really just need recommendations of which sites are generally considered reliable for my purposes, and more importantly how quick they do pay you !

Once I get the recommendations for which sites are good, I'll then locate the approp thread to help out others with a referral !

Are these all of the sites you use/have used? If so, are they all genuine and reliable at paying out?

    Thanks

I've found cashbackkings, topcashback and quanti very reliable too.

    Cheers

  • Thanks stebiz. Already do Quidco (Tesco's are pretty quick at validating and paying) but had noooooo ideas there were so many other similar :money:sites.

Apart from the popular sites, I've found KerchingCashback and it's identical sister site ValueCashback to be very good so far, although I haven't cashed out from either yet but they track instantly and are confirmed the next day which is better than any other popular site I know of.
  • If there is the same offer on more that one cashback site, can you do the offer with both/several sites, or is it one offer per person regardless of what cb site you go through?

    Thanks :)

You can do it through more than one site unless it states otherwise, like one per household/email address etc. Although you will probably need to clear your cookies to make sure it tracks properly but I hate doing that because it deletes all your saved usernames and passwords too!

use a different internet browser for cashback
  • Cashbackkings used to be good, but recently I've had hardly anything validated, very annoying, especially the £40 from HSBC car insurance, Travelodge and LateRooms.com... not impressed!
  • I've made quite a few pennies over the years. I find at the moment:

    Getpounds back
    Cashback Cheif
    Cashback Rewards
    Cashback Cascade
    Extreem Cashback

The best. I have been paid from them all, they have a better quantity of clicks and better paying. If anybody would like me to refer them please PM as i will get a few pennies for friends.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
