Land registry B136(TIB) and B136 letter?

Hi do hubby and i just consent to the entry being made by official reciever, do we just sign and send back, been offered the BI but not heard anything back about it yet?

evening troops, i received one of these too, it is all in legal jargon, can any one spell it out in laymans terms? one sent to me, one sent to the ex wife, at this address, forwarded hers on, does that still count as being served, or do i need to contact OR or land registry to send her a new one to her address? what does it mean?

It means until you actually buy the BI in the property the OR will stake a claim on it, so if it is sold when the LR is checked the OR's interest in the BI is noted and any monies go to him instead of you.

You can ring your OR and check whether he wants you to send it on or if he will want to resend the letter.

Oh dear we signed and sent off, not sure we should have now can we still buy back the BI?

Yes you can. Everyone with property has to sign one of these. The charge is removed when you buy the BI.
