hi i have been offerd the BI in my house .the property is in negative intrest .the OR put on the letter that i need to get a solicitor or a licensed conveyancer ,what is the best thing to do and how much will that cost ?

It is my understanding that you pay £1 plus £211 solicitors fees to the OR. You don't need to have your own solicitor.

i spoke to the OR ,my case person was away and was put through to someone who was not helpfull.and he said i had to sort out my own solisitior as he thought it was not thier job to arange the BI sale to ourselves ?
also i asked what is a licensed conveyancer and he did not know!0 -
Tell him you need to speak to the OR if he doesn't know. They do use a solicitor and it is up to them to do this.
