If someone offered you the chance today to be either a) debtfree or b) have that phone, which would you go for?

It'll be out of date by a week on Tuesday, anyway. If you try and sell it on you'll only get £2.50 for it.

Then dont be swayed. Temptation will always be there in some form or another. You have to be strong.

I remember being in this sort of situation a while ago. Was coming to the end of my contract and wanted to buy a new phone as the old contract phone was playing up anyways.

Saw one i liked for about £50, and another one I REALLY liked for about £150...I was so tempted to go for the more expensive one, because well it was cooler. I'm no techie person, so never ever make full use out of my mobiles as it is (I only found out my old one had bluetooth about 3 weeks before i got rid of it) - so I wouldn't actually benefit from the more expensive one which had 'bells on and everything!'

My OH had to point out to me that I would essentially be spending £100 on how something looked.

So i got the cheaper one! And it works fine and does the job!

Well done. Now doesent that feel better than buying a phone you cant afford eh! If you're tempted apply the "I'm not giving them my money" attiude that you have with the bank to the phone company!! It is, after all, just a phone & as a (good!)DFW really should only be using it for emergencies anyway!!!

That was a close one LOL.

Well done on staying strong and resisting the evil lure of the new mobile:T

I am not a mobile lover myself, literally have one just in case schools need to get in touch with me and we have never brought a new one for ourselves. My daughter has had 3 in as many years, we paid out £100 for a new one all fancy last year, and it was exactly the one she wanted, just a few months later she is bored and wants a new one. Her reasons are, the other one looks better and holds whole songs:confused:

i have basically told i am not buying another one, afterall it does what a phone is meant to, so she has two choices, keep it or save for a new one herself.
