There are so many questions and very useful answers on these forums however none of the exsisting question seem to help my situation, therefore I would like some information from the members.
Im currently 31 years of age and when I was 18 I was stupid and applied for all sorts of things using credit, mobile phones, catalogues, credit cards. At the time i was in my prime spending all the credit and withdrawing money from the credit card.
Everything was going fine until the monthly statements came in that is.
13 years later and my debts have just increased at a guess I think I owe in the region of £15,000 its possibly more my only downside to this is I dont know exactly who I owe money to and how much.
I recently checked my Credit report and it stated that I had a missed payment on a basic bank account with HSBC now forgive me if im wrong but HSBC basic bank account gives no access to credit so why i was failed on my account i dont know. I also spotted a mobile contract bill for £600 for 02 I have recieved letters from 02 but at this time i just cant afford to pay anything with.
I owe electric companies, gas companies, water companies, I have tv license fines to pay for not to mention a driving without a seatbelt fine from 2002. all the debts seem to just pile up and pile up.
My question is this how can i find out exactly who i owe money to and how much i owe without looking on my credit report because this simply states £600 to o2 but i recently recieved a letter from capital one demaning i pay back the £1000 i owe them even though the card came with a £250 limit and was taken out in 2001 8 years ago this information does not show on my credit report but there still chasing me for the money any advice would be really appreciated.

Hi Radster ..welcome to the board.
Please speak to one of the debt chariites asap.....Nat Debtline/CCCS/CAB/CAP see top toolbar on DFW for details & contacts.
Well done for posting....sounds like you want to get this sorted. There are lots of options & BR is always the last resort so get as much infoas you can to help you sort your debt & I wish you all the best of luck.

Court fines cannot be added to your BR so will have to be paid. These are important as they could lead to a prison sentence so perhaps you should make contact with these people and offer a few pounds a month to start paying these back.
As to the rest, I would certainly echo So Sad. Call CCCS or another FREE debt charity and get some advice on the rest. As these places have been making successful contact with you they are not statute barred but needs discussing.0
