Max Factor Pan Stick will cover spots and scars/marks left by spots.

http://www.redcross.org.uk/standard.asp?id=40497I don't know how bad your scars are but the Red Cross have a very good service for scar camouflage.
  • if the scars and spots are quite bad or noticeable apply your foundation normally apply powder to set it and try and forget about the spots. once you have applied the rest of your make up, if you wear anything else, go back with a small concealer brush and in very small 'dabbing' movements apply more foundation or concealer to the spot or scar. try not to do any of the area around it as it can start to look to caked on and draw more attention to it. pat again with powder so the foundation/concealer does not slide off.

when i was going through a very bad spotty stage i used rimmells hide the blemish and loved it. it blended so well and was a good consistency and also nice and cheap.
  • not a cover up, but I swear by tea tree oil to help healing and clear it up faster.

I use Mac concealer as I have bad bags under my eyes.. I think it works brilliant and any spots that appear it covers! :) HTH

  • I second the Rimmel "Hide the Blemish" recommendation. I use this with a tiny brush after having applied foundation, then use a tiny bit of powder to set it
  • I love Amazing Cosmetic Concealer, it covers spots, dark circles, bruises ( I'm clumsy!)

Its not cheap £20ish but a little tube lasts forever.

I think you can only get it from QVC in the UK so, if you dont like it, you can send it back. (although it is work keeping and eye out on EBay but not on there very often)

I use ME ME ME concealer from Superdrug. It's really good to cover spots and scars and quite cheap too. I have used a lot of different ones in my 16 years of having acne and this is the best by far for me.

I have bad spots and scars and have purchase the concealer here that has been recommended. Can anyone point me in the direction for applying concealer and foundation correctly. As when I have scabs (sorry :-s) on it kind of looks crusty and never seems to fully cover them. Especially when they are massive raised spots. Am I doing it wrong by putting a foundation on first and the concealer and then more foundation on top without putting it on the skin around? ( concealer that is)
  • Trying to conceal scabs is tricky because they're raised and a different colour and texture to the rest of your skin. Are you applying the concealer with a brush or your finger? Try a dusting of face powder after the foundation but before the concealer. You're not fiddling with the spots, are you? I know it's tempting to try and encourage them to erupt and heal but you're risking scarring or even infecting your skin further, just like I did. I found using Quinoderm at night helped to reduce the "angriness" of the spots and dry them out. In a pinch, toothpaste will do the same.

Please try to remember that other people are far less aware and/or judgmental about skin problems than you are: you're complete person to them, not just a face with a few spots on it.
