Iriwn mitchell recoveries/Natwest Loan
Options
Hi there
wondering if someone could help.
I recently had a change in circumstances with my finances and could no longer afford the £253 monthly payment on my unsecured loan with Natwest.
I followed the recommeneded procedures from the cccs and citizen advice bureau and so communicated by post and filled in income and expenditure which I showed I couldnt possibly afford the payment. I had to chase up repeatedly with their collections department to show I was keen to do something but each time they just said i would need to make that amount of payment before it goes legal
it was then Triton who communicated with me demanding payment of the loan in full, yet againm we replied with an incime and expenditure form and I said I would now be able to pay £55 per month back to them, we have been paying this regualry znd Natwest have been cashing the cheques so we were expecting the next communication to be in repsonse to their question of what we could offer realistically (which again was £55). Out of the blue I received a letter from a new firm called Irwin Mitchell solicitors which basically is demanfing payment in full for the account (£12460.04) including overdraft.
I am confused and also a little concerened, we have follwed the correct procedures and have been paying £55 every month, so do I keep paying this amount to Natwest who are cahsing the cheques? they threaten a charging order on my home and a CCJ in their letter
any help would be much appreicated
