Job at Santander - Credit Check

Hi. I have been offered a job at Santander after taking a successful payroll test and interview. When I received the paperwork there is a section that says they want to credit check my record to confirm my identity and I have to disclose any poor credit history.
My credit history has been pretty bad and I have 2 CCJ's against my name. 1 is satisfied and the other is being paid.
Has anyone experience of a poor credit rating effecting a job and am I likely to lose the position because of my past history?
The job is in payroll and is the same as my current job. This is a difficult position now as the agency I was going through for the job said that a formal offer had been made and I have handed in my notice at my old job.
Any advice will be most appreciated.

It might not matter. It might.
Companies can be funny about putting people with questionable financial positions into positions of authority or those were money can easily be missapropiated.
You will simply need to wait and see what happens. You should never resign until you have an official start date.0
