Congratulations on your weight loss. Sorry cannot help you with your stomach loss other than situps. I cannot do situps because i have a bad neck so helpful info would be helpful.0

situps are the worst thing to do. they pump up your muscles, therefore pushing the fat outwards, giving the appearance of an even larger stomach!
im only a 34 inch waist but i should be a 32, the only way to clear it is through cardio vascular, my favourite way is on a cross trainer in the garage as its wet outside to run, plus it is less impact on your knees.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

I agree with Dave101t, cross trainers are excellent, you should only do sit ups when you already have a flat stomach.
I have the same problem with my stomach too, but i have learnt to breathe in well:rotfl:0 -
Have a look at:

As others have said, don't do sit ups! If you have a big stomach the last thing you want is big muscle on it aswell! Sit ups tone the muscles, not reduce the fat.
I would definitely agree with getting yourself on the cross trainer - I have lost 2 stone this year through gym and healthy eating but in the last month have been a bit lax in getting to the gym - although I haven't put on any weight, I can feel that I have 'spread' a bit if that makes sense. Going on the cross trainer forces you to hold yourself correctly and so I think this trains you to hold your tummy in. (Dunno if that's an actual, real fact though...)

As well as exercise, I have read that the weight we hold on our stomach tends to be refined sugars and carbs, so try to cut down on these (in an ideal world
)
Also drink lot's of water to keep hydrated and stop bloating and water retention which can add inches. You should aim to drink approx 4 pints at rest, if you are more active or it's hot then you need more than that.0 -
i have lost a lot of weight thru lowcarbing and my stomach is fairly flat now, if i eat procssed carbs my tum bloats and looks quite tubby
maybe worth u looking at cutting out the processed carbs and sugars and see if that has an affect on your tum sizeWhen you know better you do better0 -
It's pretty impossible to target a specific area for fat loss. Cardio will help with overall fat burning but the best way is "clean" eating. Processed, sugary, fatty, salty food will all result in fat being held around the tummy area so even if you do lots of ab exercises to build up your ab muscles you won't be able to see them unless you clean up your diet, if anything your stomach will stick out more as you build up muscle underneath the fat.
Drinking plenty of fluid will help with any water retention and helps to flush out toxins.
I'll just point out that I'm no expert but this what I've been advised by various people in the past and I really notice how much flatter my stomach is when I eat clean foods, and how bloated it gets when I don't  ( By clean, I mean unprocessed, each level of processing changes well the body uses and digests the food)There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0 -
I have the same problem, my friend who is a personal trainer advises a combination of cardio exercise and situps, however you must hold all your tummy muscles in while doing them. He says this helps to retrain the stomach to do this all the time.
Also following healthy diet and drinking lots of water.
Have to say that I have noticed a big difference doing this (contrary to advice above about not doing sit ups until your stomach is already flat).0
