Advice Please. Changed Direct Debit date and now have a charge for loss of interest

Hello. I have changed the Direct Debit date for my car loan from the 23rd of the month to the 30th to reflect when I get paid in my new job. Black horse have amended the date for my, but have charged £37 for "loss of interest".

Can they do this?

Without the full details I can't comment on the actual amount
but clearly you have increased the time you have borrowed the money so I see no problem with the principle.
they should of course have warned you
