Debt Management Company

About a year ago I contacted a DMC with regards to clearing debts.
I know people advise not to deal with them, but I had been with another compnay already for at least 3 years and had had little or no stress during that time.
I wanted to change because I realised that the debt would, under these cicumstances never be paid off.
The new company made promises of getting me debt free within 5 years so I went ahead, at first paying an admin fee of £200, fees which they told me were none refundable. They sent out a pack which I had to fill out, which I did. An agent called at my home and checked through the paperwork. Some amendments had to be made because my suitabillity, at that time, for an IVA was in question. All complete I thought!
After several weeks, of e-mailing more information etc.and a further £200 payment, no contact had been made with my debtors. Subsequently I received a CCJ against one of the debts. Their excuse was that I had not provided paperwork giving them the right to deal with my debtors. Something I felt their agent should have dealt with.
I became totally frustrated and decided to have no further dealings with them.
Beacause they did not fulfill their obligation to me I felt I should be refunded my monies.
Two letters and a phone call later and they refuse to take responsibillity for their inept communications and said the agent was not part of their company and that he was only a courier.
Can I make a claim against this company?
