Warning co-operative bank
Be very careful if applying for credit with this company. I have an exceptionally high credit score on Experian and was recommended this bank as they advertise on the Experian webpage. I was declined a credit application and they refuse to give me a reason other than I did not meet their credit scoring requirements!! The staff are very unhelpful and are very reluctant to pass you on to a superior.

i have never trusted the co op bank, the staff need training in customer service!!0

I believe that Experian should remove this bank from their website and I would not recommend them to anyone. It’s not fair that I have a black mark against my searches when I waited months before applying and used a company recommended by Experian as someone who is likely to accept me. Not happy! L0

You don't have a 'black mark' against you, just a search.0

How much do you earn?
How much did you want to borrow?
How much debt do you currently have?
Have you previously had issues with repaying credit?

I'm a bit lost here.
OP are you saying that because the Co-op advertise on the Experian website then they shouldn't be allowed to turn you down for a loan?
Perhaps you would be better off directing your anger at Experian for giving the the possibly false impression that you had a high credit score in the first place? Their score of you counts for very little in the real world - each lender has their own.0 -

I have contacted experian to complain over the phone and e-mailed them. I am not happy with nither of them and they both blaim each other. My credit score has been a good guide to me in the past when applying for credit and it is experian that co-operative bank use.0
