make up recomendations for mature skin

make up recomendations for mature skin
I'm off to a posh do in a few weeks :D Normal make up for me is blusher, mascara, eyeliner pencil sometimes and a bit of concealer on the spots/red bits but I could do with replacing most of what I've got 'cos it's ancient!

I went in a big Boots yesterday and was going to ask for some help but I was overwhelmed by all the different makes  Which brands are good - and not expensive for mature skin please???

I have some No7 stuff but I find the foundation a bit uncomfortable, I'd like to look fairly natural but not matte IYKWIM!

  • Why dont you book in with a counter and they will do your makeup for you and see which foundation etc is best for you. Its usually free!
Id recommend Clinique ( I use this and so does my mum)
Or Estee Lauder. There about the same price as no7 as i should think.

Clinque do these anti aging foundations:

I use repair wear and love it, everyone is always commenting on my complextion now. However not sure how it is on mature skin but it is anti aging. If you go to clinique they will find the right one for you.
New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥
  • How mature?

Just asking cos if you're thinking 40ish I'm interested too :) it's funny how what you wore when you were younger stops working after a while.

Olay tinted moisturiser is my new favourite - it can be a bit greasy if I use too much (I have to dab off the excess with a tissue) but I don't need much cover so it works really well. Also, it means that my skin is actually getting some moisture instead of just its usual wipe with a cleansing tissue.
I've also noticed that I need to use hair conditioner more often as I get older (I'm 49) so I must be drying up all over.
