does anyone know how to make a bird feeder?

i have broken my plastic feed container for my birds in the garden.
can i make another one to hold seed for the little birds and how?

    Try an old yoghurt pot - make a hole in the bottom, put string through so you can hang it upside down. Mix seed with lard and allow to set, hand out in the garden for birds to eat. My kids made these when they were at nursery years ago.

    Alternatively you could use a coconut shell, they even sell them like these in shops

    In the past I've made a temporary feeder with a plastic drinks bottle with the bottom sawn off.

    I'll see if I can find the instructions again, but it was a gravity feed sort of thing, where the bottle full of seeds was propped above a hanging plate and the birds could land on the plate to eat safely. It worked quite well.

    Keep the net from a fat ball, or find some mesh somewhere, and fill it with that soft dog sausage from Lidl.....29pence.....add seeds if you wish...the birds love it.
