  • Hi everyone.

I managed a no spend day yesterday as the rain held off and I worked 8 hours solid in the jungle (aka garden). Am feeling virtuous about that but have woken this morning with loads of aches and pains for the trouble

Have to go shopping today as basics (bread, milk, tea etc) are non-existent but I have written a shopping list and I'm challenging myself to keep to it!

£33.62 on main weekly grocery shop (included washing powder, fabric conditioner & a few other non food items). Will need to buy a few more veggies on Wednesday but hopefully they will not be a lot.

That's it today for me. Have spent the rest of the day getting washing done & changing bed sheet/duvet etc...anything to stop thinking about the shops!!

As I forgot to declare it on Friday I think I have to own up to £35.26 which I changed into €50. I spent the money then, but am hopefully handing it over today to my sister who is going travelling.

I haven't spent anything today, but OH went to Asda to buy veggies, a joint, cakes, beer etc for the in-laws who came for dinner. No idea how much he spent, but he cooked a lovely dinner :D

Off on holiday on Wednesday, to Massachusetts - three weeks! It's all bought and paid for, we've got a wedding over there though, so I had to buy some clothes..not just for the wedding, but the wedding rehearsal dinner! And also just for, you know, wearing!

Yesterday I did REALLY well - Debenhams had a sale weekend, so I got:

I pair indigo jeans, VERY flattering..Wallis, in the sale £20

1 pair 3/4 length jeans, Red Herring+ very lovely silver belt £17

    1 khaki jacket, lightweight =£20

    1 vest top, sparkly £12

    1 khaki shirt £8

    Total spend=£80

Today was MUCH, MUCH worse..headed for the smart end of town...got a white linen knotted shirt from LK Bennett £48, a pure silk chocolate top £55, chocolate brown cotton shirt £25 (both EAST), and a pair of blue trousers from Laura Ashley £40.

    Still..wardrobe sorted, eh!!
