Flapjacks gone wrong!

I made some flapjacks this afternoon, something obviously went wrong and they are dry and crumbly.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I can use them for? or mix them with to make them a bit more moist?

I would guess that you didn't use enough fat and/or sugar - I can't think of any other reason for them to go like this.

You could have the bits with fruit and yoghurt (or ice cream) for a quick pudding, or use as a topping for cooked fruit, like a sort of instant crumble. I'm sure someone else will have more bright ideas!

I made some sort of flapjack a while ago using a bag of leftover oaty cereal so it was quite dry. I used grated apple and mashed banana to stick it all together.

    Also good as cereal topping.

I would melt some golden syrup and some butter in a pan, and pour the oat mixture back in and stir, should set then x

What about melting some chocolate and stirring it in to stick it all together?

Maybe you could use it as a cheesecake base?
