When selling my buy to let, can I put my capital gains into an offset mortgage account which I have on another property or must I pay the tax man?

IIUI, tax payable on capital gains in each tax year that the gains are realised. What you do with themoney does not affect your tax liability. If you have another BTL property that has lost money, you could sell it and reduce your gains.
