Shared care with regards to the CSA ... is when both PWC and NRP care for the children over night. There are different degrees of it. Their catergories are the under 52 nights, 52 - 104, 105 - etc etc ...
True shared care would be if the parents have the child an equal amount of nights; 175 each, they have a different formula for child support. They would work out how much child support weekly using the calculator, then divide it by two then reduce it by £7 a week for each child.

Correct. However, CSA, child benefit and tax credits all have no true mechanisum for dealing with 50/50 shared care. In all 3, they make an assessement of who the main carer is. CSA and tax credits generally class this as the person claiming child benefit. Child benefit base their decision on who the school and doctor have as a contact!!! It is extremely difficult to get a case looked at on its own merits - all very unfair really!!!0
