Hello Strangers, File clean up help!

Hi Guys :wave::hello:

Im not sure if anyone will remember me, but I've now been discharged for 5 months and thought it was about time I started to clean up me credit file!

I've looked at the sticky, it looks complicated, I'm scared to start it!

Hope you are all ok, I'm sorry I've not posted for ages, its been so nice just getting back on with my life, and when i posted my relief at being discharged and got totally jumped on but someone on the discussion time forum, I kind of decided to stay away as it really upset me.

Anyhoo, I'm over it now, have sorted out my life and am now totally debt free and happy living within my means :j:j:j

try not to be too worried about the credit file sticky...its pretty straight forward honestly (if I can do it anybody can!)

I was on this place most of the day for months! Kind of miss it really!

I will start on the clean up, sounds terrible but I cant really be bothered but I know I have to!

ps LOL I look at DT all the time & quite frankly its just a lot of hot air & folks liking the sound of their own voices ( if thats possible on an online forum)...iykwim :rolleyes::D

I think DT can be a bit of a `shock` if you are not used to it & if a thread gets `dumped` in there is like throwing the poor posters to the lions sometimes:eek::eek:

I`m fine Honey ( well most of the time:o:o:o)...had a few blips over last few months, still not BR yet but squeezing by...just.

Must go out now (otherwise I`ll be on here all day!:eek:) but don`t you stay away so long next time!!

Congratulations on being debt free, it must be great. :j I have not been on this site for long but the help I have received already has been great. However yesterday I posted up my SOA for people to comment on and had 1 reply that virtually accused me of living beyond my means. I replied straight away to the post only for it to have disappeared. Whilst it did not upset me it did make me think about posting questions on here, but I think the majority of people who do post on here are brilliant and non judgemental and are very helpful. So there is no way that 1 slightly nasty post will keep me away as I will be very reliant on the good people on here in the next few weeks.

sorry to hear you had a nasty reply, as you said most people here are fantastic and I couldn't have done it without them. Stick on this board and you should be ok. With me, it was someone from discussion time pulled my post apart and made it look like I'd gone br and had been living the life of riley by going on holiday, it was totally taken out of context and just knocked me a bit.

If you want to repost your soa I'll happily look at it for you? Not saying ill be able to help but I'll have a go, I have done a few in my time!!!!!

hi good luck with the cleaning up of your credit file. My personal experience has been some good some bad, abbey who i had 3 debts with have 'SOLD' my debt even after being told of my bankruptcy 3 times.

Each time i ring, give details and wait and then someone else writes and we go in circles. Have now wrote to abbey claiming severe distress and will be seeking severe finacial compensation if they dont sort there act out soon, this is what the OR suggested doing.

Hope your file cleaning goes a bit smoother than my experience.
