Forced Bankruptcy query.........

Hi all,
I am in a position where I am likely to be forced into bankruptcy due to some legal issues with my ex employer. I was just wondering there is a pretty big chance I may be going to jail for a short time can i be forced into bankruptcy while in jail? and is there any point in forcing someone into bankruptcy when they have no assests what so ever and no likely job for at least the next 12-24 months?
Thanks

BR can happen whilst in jail - I know of cases where this happened.0

Like JCS1 i have seen a number of these cases as well. In fact some people petition themeselves whilst in prison in order to sort out all their affairs and come out to a clean slateHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Thanks for the replies, I am just wondering though what use is it to the company if i basically will having nothing to give? I have no savings, no car, no house and definitley nothing worth over £200 (and that would have been the new value) even if all i had was sold which is clothes etc they would probably only get £500.....does it not cost around £1000 just to try and make someone bankrupt?0
