Nail Art - is This Morning taking the pee?

Did anyone just see the 'nail art' segment that was just on, with the beauty expert everyone loves to hate :D? Seriously? How in the name of all that is good could they call that art?! :rotfl:

First one, they painted the nail white - just with one coat, and that looks tatty as it is  - and then stuck a few sticky white strips over it and painted the nail purple. That's apparently this seasons' half moon.

The second was the lace effect. They stuck black lace onto the girls nails and painted over it.

The third one was the louboutin nail. Painted black with red underneath it - looks fab on shoes but on nails? Nuff said :undecided

For the lace nails, you can get transfers that just give that look anyway.

I actually really like the look of the Louboutin nail (I've seen it before) but it's quite hard to do unless your nails are long anyway. You can get it done using coloured acrylics as well.

I LOVE the Leighton Denny half moon manicure but I never do my nails like it because I worry people will just think it's chipped or I've missed a bit! :rotfl:

i always think nail art looks quite tacky anyway, better off sticking to a nice french manicure or plain varnish IMO! but those sound horrendous

Exactly, so I don't know why they were using real lace? Just made her nails look really tatty :o

This is the link to the feature, if anyone is interested.

I quite like nail art, as long as it's done nicely though, and not slap-dash or too in your face.

Quite liked the Louboutin ones but the others are unspeakably ghastly - and probably would be even if they were done neatly!
  • I loathe all of this "nail art' rubbish, I find it incredibly tacky bit a lot of people don't, apparently.
