Importing of goods from Indian (Punjab)

Hello,

Can someone advise me the cheapest way to have goods with a low volumetric weigh (non-bulky) sent from india (Ludhiana, Punjab) via air in the 1-30kg (i.e. a box which 1 person can lift) catagory.

It depends on how quickly you want it. Airfreight might be a good option. i would see if you can contact airfreight companies at your nearest airport, otherwise DHL or UPS would be ale to do it but they wouldn't be cheap. You could maybe see if there is one of those import/export companies in your area that buys stuff from abroad to distribute in the UK. Maybe they can help you, or they may be able to bring your stuff in with one of their shipments? Sea freight is usually cheaper but for small consignments it can take a very long time as it has to be consolidated.
You will need to ensure that you complete all customs paperwork and you will probably have to pay duty and taxes.
