Hello All
I am a bit of lurker on here and have picked up lots of great ideas - so thank you!
I've had a quick look in the hamper index but cannot seem to find anything for an office survival kit and wondered if anyone had any ideas for me?
It's the office secret santa and the person in question is quite difficult to buy for as she is allergic to everything and whoever draws her every year just buys her chocolate! Not a bad gift to get, but I thought it would be nice for her to get something different!
The budget is £5, so far all I can think of is an emergency bar of chocolate, stress toy (could I make this out of something?!), paracetamols for headaches, maybe try and make a sign saying do not disturb stresses person at work? I was think of putting it in a box and trying to make it look like an alarm, break in case of emergency etc. Any ideas how to do this?!
Thanks in advance.

i remember an old boss of mine having a self made poster on the back of his door saying 'bang head here' i always thought that was funny and wondered if he'd used it lol. just type it out on word or something a little fancier, just draw a big circle and have the words typed in the middle. Also dont know if you've seen those staple-less staplers, theyre really cheap and available on play.com and other gadget stores. How about the little desktop gadgets and toys you can buy theres hundreds about. A USB cup warmer, plug into computer and keep your coffee warm, theyre around £5. desktop fan, girly mouse, and mouse mat? How about getting one of those deep box-frame picture frames (I think they are called shadow boxes) .... I know they sell them in Ikea, and I've also seen them in other places too. Print out a red 'emergency' cross, and type soemthing like 'in case of emergency break glass', then stick a small bar of chocolate to it.
Something like this :

except you can do-it-yourself much cheaper0 -
Hi CJ
I love that idea! Although I don't think it would last very long!heheMFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 260 -

Wow CJ that is such a great idea :T. I can think of loads of people who would enjoy this. However, it might have to come with additional bars of chocolate as I can't see it lasting long! Does anyone know a cheap place for shadow boxes - unfortunately I don't have an IKEA or (much to my distress!) a Home Bargains nearby?
Thankyou0 -
How about paracetamol, air freshner/ phone/keyboard wipes? Plus I've seen really funny stamps and post its (in hawkins bazaar I think at Christmas) that have funny little quotes on them - "Mark this 'F' for Fat Chance" "I can only please one person today - you're scheduled in for sometime next year..." etc. There are also loads of funny little office quote and joke books in Borders and Waterstones.
How about a cheap mug and you could either write something funny on it or write a note - incase you need a caffeine hit - maybe even include some instant coffee sachets?
Emergency Chocolate bar is a good idea too
Good luck!:rudolf: Christmas Addict! :rudolf:0 -
Will she take it the right way...if someone bought me loads of stress related stuff I might think they were trying to make a point (like buying deodorant for someone with BO!) If you are certain she will take it in the spirit it is meant what about a mug, you could stick the other bits in and cover with cellophane and do a label with 'Emergency Only' on it.0

I saw mugs on 95pence.com which said
"I pretend to work here, They pretend to pay me!"
If you are ordering other things from there, you could add one of those to your order which you could put in with it!Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying
