    Evening all.

    1) There are more screaming swifts round my house every day. :)

    2) A colleague has recommended a specialist shoe shop that might be able to help me find some shoes that fit without rubbing holes in my feet, which I'm having serious problems with at the moment. :(

    3) Lovely cuddles with the mog when I got home.

    4) Refinding my 'missing' mobile phone - the mog had fallen asleep laying on it and, for some reason, I hadn't thought to look under the cat. ;)

    5) Received my freebie wine: I consider the wine rack as part of my store cupboard and like to have it stocked up, particularly when it doesn't cost me anything to do so. :)

    Have a lovely evening, all.

    Evening all,

    Hope you are all well.

    1) First strawberries of the season from the garden.... LUSH!!!!!!

    2) Spoke to two of my brothers on the phone in preparation for my mum's visit later in the month.

    3) Popped by my friend house who lives in the next village to feed her geckos and fish, and water the seedlings I gave her. Her daughter drew me a picture! Kids normally hate me! :)

    4) Chatted to my friend L on the phone and planned drinks for Monday

    5) Had my hair shorn... its now really short... but I think it's cute!

    Night all.

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

I knew it was going to be a hectic day, but it was even more so than I'd anticipated!

    1. Started to pack when a friend visited 'for coffee'...she was here for 3 hours! But she did bring eccles cakes so that was alright ;)
    2. Another friend phoned just as she left, we chatted for an hour as we hadn't seen each other for all of two weeks :D
    3. Pharmacy sent my scrip along, delivered by a rather yummy young man. If only I was 30 years younger...
    4. Postie brough me some vouchers for doing a survey
    5. House and garden more or less clean and tidy, fridge cleaned out, all ready to go. Or so I thought, I keep jumping up to do something else!
Back in a couple of weeks, doubt there'll be any holiday posts as I understand that net connection on these ships is around 75p a minute . They certainly know how to make their money. But will be thinking of you :)
Hope to come back to find everyone well and happy, take care

Sparrer have a really lovely time. :)

    My five for today:

    1. Got going with the mega paperwork clear out/sort out.

    2. Gave myself permission to have a late afternoon sleep because I felt so tired after coughing all night last night. I slept so deeply I really must have needed it.

    3. Allowed myself a cafetiere of coffee while I was tidying and working. Real coffee's a bit of a treat.

    4. Sunshine all day and more forecast for tomorrow.

    5. Seeing my sons be independent and competent and creative and good organisers. It's good as a parent to sit back and think 'well, maybe, just maybe, I might have got a few things right after all' :D.

    Sleep well

Sparrer - hope you have a fabulous time, you globe-trotter you :)

    1. Low spend day
    2. Realised I've started losing a bit of weight, phew!
    3. Got loads of work done today in the office
    4. Not enough contact with OH (wondering if he's feeling poorly) but at least we had a few texs...and he sent me photos of his son in flying gear as he went up for his first ever lesson.
    5. Sang my heart out to lots of funky tunes in the car on the way up to my parents' house - and best of all, managed the drive without too much difficulty, just a bit sore after 100 miles
    6. Made myself a yummy dinner with lots of veggies
    7. Looking forward to DD's cuddles first thing in the morning as I arrived when she was in bed :):):)
    8. Lovely chats with a couple of colleagues in New York, really hope I get to meet them in person one day!
    9. Found my missing library book, phew!

5 or possibly more for today!

    1) Had a bit of a lie in.

    2) Boys behaved beautifully all day. :)

    3) Went to the Chinese buffet in town for lunch.

    4) Met my friend at the cathedral and bigger son found a toe bone in the cathedral grounds (Good job I was an archaeologist!)

    5) Went round the 2nd hand shops and got 2 T shirts and a Harris tweed jacket that Dundeedoll may remember! Smaller son is very impressed with it. :T

    6) Went to the big park in the city where sons and my friend's 2 children played in the water fountains for TWO HOURS! So we had two hours of chatting and sunbathing. :D

    7) Went to mum and dad's for tea.

    8) Videod the pigs but the video didn't download off my phone to the laptop properly so will have to have another go. Went for a walk round afterwards and saw 2 slow worms, sloughed off slow worm skin and a toad so both boys were happy.

    9) Sister phoned and Ben (the poorly baby) has been taken off the ventilator. The bleeding on his brain doesn't seem to be too worrying and.... they are thinking next week he will be strong enough to have a repairing operation! So that is much better news. :j
