Permanant marker removal help,

Hi, my two year old has managed to get hold of a permanant marker at home and drawn on our dining room table ( grrr ) . I appreciate permanant means permanant but does any one have any tips on its removal or even fade it . Thanks.

  • i believe that non-acetone nail varnish remover removes permanent marker i'd be a bit careful though it doesn't damage your table

I don't know about dining room tables, but on whiteboards the way to get permanent marker off is to go over it with a non-permanent marker.

The reason is non-permanent markers are mostly thinners and only a little ink.

Try a small squirt of WD40 and wipe off with a piece of kitchen towel. It's supposed to work...

I was watching Kim and Aggie earlier and they got marker off a painted wall using hairspray, don't know if it would work on a table but might be worth a go?
