Can parking fines be included in BR?

I've been challenging a parking fine for a few weeks but they've finally decided to uphold it. Bah! Can I hold off paying and include this in my stuff to be written off as part of my BR? Or is that wishful thinking? ;-)

Thanks for the quick response! I've had a quick read - my fine was imposed by APCOA at my local station carpark. Do you think that's ok? I guess it doesn't count as a 'local authority' fine?0

Not local authority, but neither is it a 'fine' under the Magistrates Act 1980.
As such, should be covered by the BR.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
