The mangos are bloody tasty too. Blueberries seem to be permanently on 76p offer as well...0

usually tho' mangoes can be rather green and hard when you see them on sale at various places. they're never ripe enough to eat. when i do get one, i like to get them with more red on them then you know they're going to be sweet. if they're hard (which they are usually), I'd stick it in a big bag of rice and that'll ripen them quicker..0

Indeed. Similar story with avocados - I suppose the store don't want to be selling rotten mangos or having you buy one and it be rotten when you come round to eating it a day later. The mango chutney idea is a good one too - i may have a go at that myself.0 -
Well, I was in Aldi this morning buying odds and sods and thought I would buy a mango to try.
I have never eaten a fresh mango before so bought a really soft one with red bits as stated above to try.
Well, it was nice and juicy but a bit weird, like eating something that had perfume on it! Didn't realize who scented they tasted.
Not sure if I have been converted to fresh mangoes, I like mango chutney though.0
