cleaning upstairs windows?

I finally managed to get a window cleaner last month... YIPEEEE I thought :j until I got up the next morning and the sun shone through the back kitchen door window and it was full of streaks, so I had to go over it myself. He's just been again and gone and I had a polite word to him. I think he was a different bloke so I told him if he could do a better job than the last lot then fine. Just been upstairs and the bathroom window is full of streaks  I can't even hang out the window to do it myself so I'm going to cancel it from now!!

How does everyone that doesn't have a window cleaner manage to do the outside of the upstairs windows without ladders? I'm dreading seeing it tomorrow when the sun shines through it... it's bad enough now in the dark... I'm flippin furious. He must think because it's a frosted window he can just wipe over it with a (dirty) rag and I won't notice

Sorry for the huge post but I needed to rant a bit, I'm not gonna be able to cope for a whole month, not because it's streaky but because I expected him to do it properly!!! It's not like he does it for free

And breeeeathe :rotfl:
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

You can get extendable rods to clean your upstairs windows. I have seen them in the betterware catalogue but Im sure they are available other places too.
