Can anyone remember a thread about...
fitzroy
... a husband who posted asking whether some outrageously small amount of money was sufficient for his wife to spend on clothes for a year. At the time loads of posters said it had to be a wind-up - can't remember whether it was this board or the marriages/relationships board.
Anyway I meant to bookmark it for later because some of the posts in reply did a list of how much and on what, various people spent in a year. You know - 3 bras @ £40 each; 4 winter tops @ £35 each and so on right down to socks, slippers etc.
I've searched and searched with all the key words but can't find it. Can anyone help?

Or was it some other moaning old b***er!!0 -
Thanks for replying. I did see that thread in my searches but no it isn't that one. I was particularly interested in the replies to the thread I'm thinking of where members were listing what items they bought, how much they paid and what the total of their yearly spend was.fitzroy0

The thread was started by master of nothing, but seems to have disappeared.
Pity, it was amusing, and some of the replies were interesting. I'm sure that it was a wind-up.0 -
A wind up from Master of Nothing, are you sure?

I do remember it, he styles himself as a rather old fashonied sounding chap, usualy manages to stir up a good debate.:D
