Dh swears by the memory foam pillows you get. Personally I prefer a soft pillow but it's worth a try - see picture here http://www.asseenontvguys.com/productimages/memoryfoampiloow.jpg
I believe harry corry etc do them..0 -
I have arthritis and started getting pains in my neck in a morning I bought a memory foam pillow this is the one I have http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/si/silentnight-impress-memory-foam-pillow.jpg
I noticed a difference from the first time I used it and have not had neck problems since0 -
All depends on how you sleep as to what sort of pillow you need
I sleep on my belly and side so for me its feathers all the way.
I have two. One is a normal type pillow thats really filled and the other is one thats gusseted - makes it squarer - no hump bit - so between them my neck is always supported no matter what way I sleep0 -
The funny shape pillows can be terribly uncomfortable for the first night or so. But: after using mine (just an IKEA jobbie, mid range), opened my eyes in the morning, blinked and shifted my head slightly-
CRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
More blinking (but not moving because I wasn't too happy about the nasty noises like chucking a xylophone down the stairs). Wiggled toes-check, twitched knees-check, wiggled bum-check, shift spine-check, slowly turned to push myself up, sitting, blinking in the sunlight
and -
nothing. No pain. No tingles in the hands. No stiffness. Able to turn head to look over shoulders. Can touch chin to chest.
Darn. It did something good.
But I have also had people swear that tying the middle of a standard pillow with string, then putting the pillowcase on top (it's called a butterfly pillow) is the best method of all - and probably a bit more moneysaving.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
