I absolutely agree; I expect that's why he's been reported to abuse so many times!0 -
Because some people are of the same opinion of me.

Just to clarify...people are helping you because they are generally just being helpful...not because they agree with the statement you made or have the same opinion as you on that matter!0 -
Yes he took that but it's not one with a photo on.
Also the person refusing entry was an asian who was probably an illegal immigrant and couldn't even speak good english. The cheek of these people is beyond belief at times!
The person who refused entry may not speak english, but might even be a illegal immigrant....but he was still doing his job but refusing entry to your friend who is silly enough not bring the right ID.In that sense...i don't think the person is actually cheeky, but you are worse. I certainly know for sure you ignorant and probably one of those benefit cases who call themselves sick to scratch the benefits door.:mad:0 -

I find that statement to very distasteful and ignorant. The illegal immigrant as you put it is only following the rules and procedures laid out by his employer and the rules that each and every employer should follow. I know when i go for a job interview i have to bring id with me and proof that i am entitled to work in England.
You should be ashamed of yourself and read again what you wrote!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

He would have the same problem with a driving licence app, and renewing a passport may be easier, but, if on benefits the fee is more than a single person's JSA. He could get a letter signed by a professional. with the signature on a photo as a temporary measure, this along with a paper driving licence, their birth certificate, a P60, benefit entitlement letter ( to prove NINO) and a recent utility bill, bank statement should be sufficient. I don't have a current passport, and a paper licence, & this proof was ok for me. I think some of the provisions in the Immigration and Asylum legislation, makes it difficult for people on benefits or a low income to prove their entitlement to work in the uk, as employers like passports as proof, but they are now too expensive for low income families. I have wrote to my MP on just this matter recently.0
