Taking a 'friend' to court for a small claim - advice please
Comments
-
I shall be claiming for just the original amount if it gets to court, but for now I shall be asking for a £1500 full and final settlement. It just shows that they were so clearly away with the fairies and TBH had probably thought they'd given me the slip over all this that they admitted their guilt at the first accusation of anything.
I have just spoken to a law firm who specialise in small claims, and have been told that even without anything written down I would have a good chance here, as the court would base the case on the balance of probabilities as refered to by another member on here. However, as I now have their written admission of the debt, their offer of repayment (which proves they understand and acknowledge that repayment was the eventual expectation), and 2 pages of excuses as to why not a single penny has been repaid so far, then I have a very strong case to base my claim upon.0
