I was wondering if there was a way to get a makro card and also a costco card without having a business etc as i have wanted for a while to get the discounts you can get from these stores on items but needed to have a business and was wondering if there was a way of doing this,if so pm me and let me know
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

This info was displyed in store when I joined (I am a teacher).

Costco is different than Makro in that it is not for purely trade customers. We have a Makro card since we own a business, but you need loads of ID in order to join, including (if memory serves) a VAT number - though I could be wrong about that!
However, I think you pay an annual fee of about £25 to be a member of Costco and anyone can join.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
You don't need a VAT number for a Makro card. We're not VAT registered, but got a card through our small business.
Can you get a Makro card through work? All you do is get your boss to sign a form saying you need to buy tea/coffee supplies, stationary etc. My ex-husband got one, even though he didn't purchase anything for work but they said he did. It's a bit naughty I knowHere I go again on my own....0 -

Makro are quite happy for you to purchase for your private use, provided the card is registered to a company.
They are really hot on the card issuing now. At one time, anyone could get a card. A short time ago I applied for a card for a member of staff at our other branch. I am a card holder and authorised by my company to authorise additional cards. I filled in what I needed to, but they still rang the other branch the next day to check that she was an employee and then rang my branch to check that I still was.0 -
If you know somebody who has a Costco card and is the primary account holder then they would be able to join you via their card. I have a friend who has a card via me & we split the cost each year for membership. It is more expensive for a primary account holder but we didn't think it was fair that I paid an extra £8 per year more than she would hence the 50:50 costs.0
