I like beachcombing, unfortunately I don't get to do it too often. What are your best finds? Mine are
Penarth Beach: A 5 metre pine beam 4 inches x 12 inches with ornate bevelled edges it was in great condition and would have been strong enough to use as a support beam, but I used it as a retaining wall in the garden - looks great!......Would have done some serious damage to a small boat!
Scaffold planks quite a few washed up, when they were doing work on Penarth pier.

its alright for some wig!
the most interesting thing i ever found on penarth beach was a used sanitary towel  i love looking for fossils on the beahes by lavernock point. and i used to enjoy collecting alabaster back in the day when you could walk from penarth beach to penarth docks.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Lavernock:- by St Lawrence Church, I know it well, where Marconi did his trials on morse code. Some rich people have built some big houses down that road. Shouldn't be allowed IMO.
Fossils to be found at Llantwit beach, I found some big ammonites there.0 -
Good idea if you live near enough a beach. :T0
