It may sound obvious but why don't you get a job?
I don't really buy the fact that having a weaker hand makes you unemployable.
I know a blind lady who runs her own home tutoring business.
I used to know a gentleman who despite the fact he was disabled from the neck down, he was Chairman at his local rugby club.
I once had a plumber install a new bathroom in my house - he had a thumb missing.
I could think of, or find, hundreds or examples where people have a far worse disability than your own but are still completely independant.0 -
Perhaps getting back into work would help?
I know many people that have lost their ring finger (I've had many jobs in manufacturing, and although they "advise" people to remove their wedding ring, many don't - it doesn't take much for the finger to be ripped off!!), and although it affects them quite a lot to begin with, they feel more "normal" again when they settle back into a working routine.
Why not go and visit the CAB, or go to https://www.entitledto.co.ukShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Really sorry to hear this OP. Did you receive any compensation for the injury at all? What made you leave your job after the accident - was it your choice or the company's?0
