It's my wife's birthday on Thursday and although money is tight I want to throw her a small bday party. The last 18 months have been really difficult for her, healthwise, and she deserves a special night with her close friends and family around her. As I can't afford to take her out for a slapup dinner I figured a party at home would be ideal.

I've managed to get some great personalised balloons (25 balloons) for her but I now need to get some helium for them. Looking around I've found a couple of places where a canister of helium costs 30 quid but thats way out of my budget. Does anyone have any ideas as to where/how we can helium-inflate our balloons on the cheap? We are based in central london and would need to be able to do this in the next couple of days as the party will be on Thursday.

I would be so grateful if anyone could give me ideas on what to do.

HELP ME (please) as Jeff Goldblum says in The Fly.

cheers in advance
:D if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.
