bank a/c with switch facilities

Hi All

Can you over advise please?

I will not be discharged from my BR until Jan 2011, i currently bank with Nationwide but they refuse to gove me SWITCH facilities.

Which bank will?

Barclays or the co-op will give you a visa debit card.. although some places the co-op card is acting like a electron it is still widely accepted. Think also about a pre paid card like: www.cashplus.co.uk
If you try those banks you must apply for their basic account, cashminder is the co-op one, you also get internet banking with the co-op.
Are you BR now? how come you wont be discharged until 15months from now?

I would recommend the Co-op Cashminder account if you are dependent on online banking, as the Barclays one won't let you have online banking, due to you being BR. However, it will be reinistated after BR is over though. If you don't need online banking, go for Barclays, as it has a lot more branches than Co-op if you need branch access.
