Roughly how long does the process take?

Another question from me!!

Husband and I are off to see the CAB lady tomorrow to start the ball rolling and she will call our creditors to let them know we are taking advice, and then we plan to start the whole thing off.

So, just roughly how long does the process take? I know it will be different for everyone, but are we looking at a couple of months or more?

Thanks again, I am sure I will have lots more questions after the meeting tomorrow.

  • For my own BR, 2 weeks to get a court date then heard from OR 2 days later. From BR hearing to OR inteview 2 weeks. So pretty fast really now just got to wait for OR to write report and do what they do and i guess wait for the next 11 months to pass quickly!

I had my phone interview with the or office exactly four weeks after finally deciding to go br. But, I think the speed of it all will depend on the business of the service in your area. Good luck with it all!
  • Oh so it can be pretty quick then! Here's hoping ours is that quick and we can start 2010 debt free!
  • Mine took a couple of weeks to get to court and the OR interview the next day, good luck with it all and let us know how you go. All the best.
