It's been a busy evening. We've been out for sushi and now I have Life on BBC1 to watch and then the Warren Buffet thingy on the iPlayer. Can we get back to the doom and gloom tomorrow?

Still a lonely portential FTB in reality

for the record, and in a non partisan way I feel obliged to raise the issue of couples. :) You may or maynot believe one (or two :)) needs to cohabit to afford a property in Brtain today but it is possible to be a FTB and NOT lonely. :)

Which do you mean is the reality? Going out for sushi and watching a bit of TV or the doomer stuff? 'Spose they are both reality depending on your viewpoint.

There is nothing supporting the recent rises, its just re inflating the bubble.

I thought QE, public demand, low interest rates, re-emergence of mortgage products, slightly more available credit, lowering deposits with some lenders, good fixed term mortgate rates, lower unemployement than we first thought, sentiment, people buying houses again, foreign money and people generally getting on with their lives and wanting a house was supporting the recent rises?

Not saying any of the above are good, bad or (and get ready for the classic phrase) economically fundemental reasons, but they are all stuff that's in the mix meaning that house prices are rising.

The one you were speaking about on LLzone that Cleaver/Chucky linked

The same one that you were going to take the rate rise hit on in 2007 instead of your tennants?

Gosh that is just pathetic. Chucky trawling the web for posts under the same name.

Only one thing to say chucky: get a life!

    Well put, yes.

Now back to the 3 million in Negative equity and further price falls. There is nothing supporting the recent rises, its just re inflating the bubble.

Blanchard discusses a portential solution of running inflation at 5% for years to wipe out the negative equity. He says its the only solution but a bad one I think

Only after you connect a bit more :D.....go on..

.....that tells us a lot more about you than big red font ever will....we trust you again.:D
Bring on 70% (in real terms) falls.....cos then I may be able to afford a nice pad on Shad Thames......and a hut on Chesil beach.
Take 2...could be needing 90% falls to afford that but here's hoping.:o
