yourpersonalloan.co.uk - My brief experience

Just incase anyone is considering them:

I applied for a loan with yourpersonalloan on Saturday 26 September and got "you've been accepted" email about half an hour later. All good I thought. Heard nothing all week so I called the number from the website on the following Friday to be told that I wasn't on their system so my application must still be being processed. I asked how I find out where it's up to and they said there's no way they can find out! I ask what do I do now and am told just wait for the next email update.
I'm still waiting.

I needed the money pretty quickly and I'm lucky that someone in my family could bail me out. I think it's really bad that this place can't give you any information at all by phone. The person I spoke to said they get lots of calls like this and that the number is only there because they have to have a contact number, even though the people it goes through to can't help you. They really need a proper helpline or email address but I guess that's how they keep costs down.
Beware!

David.

Let's be honest - it doesn't even sound like a reputable company name does it? Surely you must expect this kind of thing?

yourpersonal loan.co.uk is provided by the Co-operative Bank p.l.c., P.O. Box 101, 1 Balloon Street, Manchester M60 4EP. The Co-operative Bank is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (No 121885), subscribes to the Banking Code, is a member of the Financial Ombudsman Service and is licensed by the Office of Fair Trading (No. 006110).

Would seem reputable enough to me! :p

Postal strikes won't help internet based loans but someone should be at the end of the phone.

As well as being part of the Co-op they are listed on this site, so I didn't expect this kind of thing at all.
