It seems like short notice, do GMTA not plan any further than a couple of hours ahead?

My friend went on GMTV after she appeared on xfactor to talk about her massiv weight loss. She lost the weight of a baby hippo in less than a year. They phoned her one night at 4pm and expected her to come down to London that night to appear on tv in the morning.
