Would they not give you permission as you do the ordering?
Technially they would never know...0 -
Hi guys,
Whilst using quidco over the weekend i noticed they also include Dell.com and purchases off this website.
The company i work for orders literally hundreds of desktops and odd servers from dell therefore going through quidco could add up to a serious amount of cash.
Would it be illegal or highly dodgy to use my account to go through this site? I would be making money regularly from it and therefore this seems too good to be true? Would the taxman need to be involved or would there be implications as it is a company ordering goods and not me solely?
Thanks
i think the order would need to be in your name inc payment method
dunno about tax0 -
When I ordered one for my brother, I had to raise an enquiry as it hadn't tracked because our addresses were different.0

It can be in anyones name.
If it doesn't track, Dell is pretty reliable, you would lose it.0 -
I take it the company is not big enough to qualify for bulk buying discounts in the first place? We negotiate on the phone and get deals - can you do that if you are clicking through a link?
Tax... this might help?
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/CG1manual/cg13027.htmIn certain circumstances, a cashback may be chargeable as income. Normally, this will only apply if the cashback is received in the course of either the recipient's business or employment0 -
"Members Account must be used only for purchases on his/her own behalf, and not on the behalf of, or for the benefit of, any other person(s); "
"Members must not enter into, or attempt to enter into, any transaction with a Retailer or to gain Cashback (a) by providing personal information of someone else (such as by signing up for a new electricity supply under someone elses details), or a payment method which they are not entitled to use (such as credit card details that belong to someone else),"
Taken from Quidco's terms and conditions found here. (under 8. Misuse)
I'm sure I've read on here before about people losing their accounts or getting into trouble with Quidco for ordering on behalf of their employers. IIRC there was even a problem for someone ordering on behalf of a small charity.
I'll have a rummage and see what I can find. If you are in doubt then you could drop Quidco an email to ask - if they say it's fine then off you go!
It's only a game
