Car Bought for Me, will OR have an interest?

Hi All

I am, all things being equal, going to be declared BR next week, my car which is currently on HP will be going due to the BR.

My mum has kindly offered to buy me a cheap run-around once the BR is over, and i can then pay her back once discharged.

My question is, if she buys it for me, and it is registered in my name, which it would have to be to be for me to be legally insured, (else i would be 'fronting') Would the the OR want to take this car from me? Or am i best explaining the circumstances at my initial interview? before i go ahead an buy one?

Cheers

Get the receipt for payment in your mums name, then your mum has bought it. Others may have some advice but do you really need mention it to the OR, after all it's not yours. Just get the car after the interview to be on the safe side;)
