"Wearing glasses makes vision worse"

I've got a terrible headache but have been told by an optician not to take aspirin because it will make no difference! No bandages for me when I cut myself; my dentist says coping without is better!

Does sound like rubbish but funnily enough my eyes gradually got worse when I used to wear glasses and barely change at all these days now that I wear lenses (which I've done since I was 18). It may be just because I've stopped growing though. Ignore them anyway!

i was always told that lenses might make things stagnate a bit, but as soon as you go back to glasses, you'll end up where you should have been in thefirst place... either way, if you have eye problems at all, get a regular eye test anyway! i'm now down to once every 18months, but as a teenager it was once every 6 months since my eyesight just kept getting worse and worse and worse!

I used to think this as I started to wear glasses in primary school, and every time I went back for a checkup I needed stronger lenses. So I came to the conclusion that glasses made my eyes worse. Of course, it's obvious now that it was just because I was growing, and when I was an adult they stabilised.

They don't sound like very friendly people.
